Korean Air

Digital media is layered over every surface of Incheon International Airport, like algae growing over stones in streams. You can shop for anything, everything is duty-free, and each area has its own theme with lighting and perfume to match. Jade jewellery, electronics, designer leather handbags, silk ties, fragrances, bulk cigarettes are being consumed by consumers.

Families sit with their belongings strewn across multiple surfaces while they enjoy meals. Cup noodles, Burger King, rice cake in gravy, krispy kremes.

People move through luxury shops, food courts and wide, shined corridors with ease. Dewy-skinned, moon faced toddlers and bowlegged grandparents use iphones with the same dexterity. An alien visitor would say, “they are completely at home in this environment.”

  1. nice pictures….

i have a fascination for airports ( love waiting at Singapore Airport returning from work/ lying on the sofas, cutoff from the world, watching people ). Seems time stands still at those places.
