These two look cute indeed. However, I have a healthy aversion to pigeons. While I lived in Bombay(Colaba), and where I had to park my car in the street, the birds had assumed that it was some kind of a open toilet for them. Or maybe they thought it was a kind of “art”: they routinely bombarded it.
Bombay is a city with a pulse and a heartbeat, and provides a backdrop for an incredible variety of experiences. Despite the unimaginable spectrum of wealth, access and opportunity in this city, emotions like anxiety, love, loneliness and lostness apply equally and wonderfully to everyone. That is what I find beautiful about Bombay.
This blog is about beauty, even when it wears a coat of ugliness, and wonder and food, in Bombay and in the rest of the world.
You know who I’m thinking of when I see this picture. Nice one Bron.
I thought of you two when I took it, I saw them from the Atma office! Can’t wait to see you back in Bombay and to celebrate for you both!
Hi,
Those are green-necked pigeons. Cheerio!
I know, but aren’t they adorable?
